  • Apple and Sage Stuffing

    Recipe

    6 ounce butter
    8 ounces trinity mix (fresh diced onions, peppers, celery)
    1/2 cup raisins
    1 large Granny Smith apple peeled and chopped
    1 tablespoon flour
    14 ounces turkey broth
    6 ounce white bread
    1/2 bunch Sage
    cooking spray

    Method

    Preheat oven to 450°F.
    Preheat large sauté pan on medium-high. Sauté the trinity mix in the butter stirring often, until vegetables are tender. Add the raisins, sage and apple.
    Stir flour into mixture and cook 2 minutes, stirring often, until flour is hot and well blended into mixture.
    Stir in broth and bread and mix until well blended.
    Coat a 2-quart baking dish with cooking spray and add stuffing mixture.
    Bake 20–25 minutes or until golden and internal temperature reaches 165°F. Use a meat thermometer to accurately ensure doneness. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
