Concrete was placed on top of a slipform which was moved upward an average of 22 feet a day.

 

 

 

 

 

CN Tower Helicopter

Toronto residents and visitors were riveted by the sight of Erickson Aircrane’s giant Sikorsky helicopter with a 72’ wingspan as it lifted the final 30-foot section of the CN Tower’s antenna into place.

Erickson Aircrane’s giant Sikorsky helicopter took just 3 ½ weeks and 55 lifts to install the 44 pieces of the 335 foot antenna mast.
