On May 13th 1997, we officially opened 360's European-style wine cellar in the sky.
At 351 metres (1151 ft.), the Wine Cellar is the highest in the world. Created to resemble a typical underground wine cellar, ours features precision climate and humidity controls, redwood racks, double cherry doors, a 9,000 bottle storage capacity and a tasting table.
To ensure that wine is stored in ideal conditions of 13 degrees Celsius (55 degrees F) and 65 percent relative humidity, a 2 1/2 ton, state-of-the-art, water-cooled cooling system was installed in the Cellar's ceiling. This allows us to store one of the most extensive selections in the Toronto area, featuring more than 550 wines from around the world, including top Canadian, French and American labels.
To keep up with a list this long, our staff participates in training programs, tours of local wineries, and we attend wine seminars on local production and food pairing. All to bring you the best service possible.
Since 1998, 360 Restaurant has received The Wine Spectator magazine's Best of Award of Excellence (two goblets) for it's wine list. This award recognizes a restaurant's commitment to offering a varied, well-considered selection of wine that can appeal to most any guest.
Also since 1997, 360 Restaurant has been honoured with the DiRoNA (Distinguished Restaurants of North America) Award of Excellence. This award is presented to restaurants across North America in recognition of their commitment to excellence in all areas including food, beverage, decor and experience.
