Goderich Community Greening Initiatives and Projects
Each spring the Town of Goderich plants approximately 120 trees on residential boulevards. We have undertaking a project to plant dune grass in an attempt to save our beach and to act as a determent to keep geese off of the beach. Our Environmental Technologist has organized that thermostats in the Town buildings be replaced with programmable thermostats as well as replacing lighting fixtures with energy efficient units. The local utility has also been very successful with the Refrigerator Round up with the highest per capita residential participation. The Town can now boast of a free yard waste depot for use of its residents.
