The CN Tower is proud to partner with the Toronto Biennial of Art, a free, citywide contemporary art event that brings artists, communities, and public spaces across Toronto until December 20, 2026. The CN Tower is one of the Biennial's featured venues, presenting a unique light-based artwork by Colombian artist Andrés Ramírez Gaviria.

Sources (Toronto) transforms astronomical radio signals from across our galaxy and the distant universe into a dynamic sequence of light on the CN Tower. Created using data gathered by international radio astronomy researchers, the light installation translates signals from pulsars and quasars into slow, rhythmic pulses that reflect the movement of celestial bodies across the sky. The work invites viewers to consider deep time and humanity's connection to the vast history of the cosmos.

The artwork is presented on the CN Tower at the top of every hour, beginning at sunset, for five minutes throughout the Biennial. For the best viewing experience, visit the southeast corner of Roundhouse Park.
